89 Forever, O Lord,
Your word is settled in heaven.
90 Your faithfulness endures to all generations;
You established the earth, and it abides.
91 They continue this day according to Your ordinances,
For all are Your servants.
92 Unless Your law had been my delight,
I would then have perished in my affliction.
93 I will never forget Your precepts,
For by them You have given me life.
94 I am Yours, save me;
For I have sought Your precepts.
95 The wicked wait for me to destroy me,
But I will consider Your testimonies.
96 I have seen the consummation of all perfection,
But Your commandment is exceedingly broad.
What is the benefit of the enduring Word of God? Well, it is enduring; it is settled in heaven and will be with us forever. Nothing about God’s word can change, nothing. Because of that we know that every time we go to God He will act in complete accordance with His word. What security this brings those of us who seek Him.
God’s word then filters down through all parts of our lives. He is faithful, His law is our delight, we will not forget it. Since we are His, according to His word, (read Romans 8) we know that He saves us according to His word. Our enemies will submit to God’s word and we can eat at a table before them. Psalm 23.
God’s commandment is broad, it covers every part of life. Read it, learn it, live it, and rejoice in it; it is going to be with us forever.
Becky Sivnksty learned yesterday that her cyst has a 90% probability of not being cancerous! They are rejoicing greatly with this report. They thank us for the outpouring of our love to them. We are all thanking God for His love and care. She will have surgery next Thursday to remove it and testing will be done then to confirm the diagnosis.
Sunday is our monthly dinner day. Be sure to come ready to stay ant to eat with us. Bring enough food for your family and a little more.
Brent’s sermon on Psalm 61 is now up on our website. You will want to hear this message as he opened up his heart to us regarding Becky’s condition and the fear it brought to them and how they turned to God in it.
Have a great day in the Lord,
